No one wants to be in a hospital, especially on a holiday weekend, but since this was not an option for us, Kenzie made us feel at home.
My husband has been here since Monday (6 days). He can sometimes be whiny, but Kenzie did not mind. She was so kind and made sure he was comfortable and that I was always informed of updates. When he wanted to get up and walk, she encouraged this and walked with us every step of the way. She was so kind when I asked for updates and fixed things that were not done before her shift such as daily weight. She made sure that the water/liquids consumed were posted so he knew how much he had left. She was very compassionate and was cheering on my husband and encouraging him that the end of his stay in near. She made our stay tolerable.

No one wants to be in a hospital, especially on a holiday weekend, but since this was not an option for us, Kenzie made us feel at home. It is the little things that matter: a kind word, an encouraging smile, or even just a cup of ice make the world of difference. We had several hospitals closer to home, I am so thankful we chose Parma. Kenzie and the team of nurses made all the difference. I am sure I would have had several meltdowns, but when I saw the team helping my husband, I knew he was in good hands. Kenzie truly reflects what makes a nurse so important for both families and patients.
