As a nurse, I have seen those who go above and beyond for their patients, and what Diane did when I was admitted was exceptional. I was admitted as a liver donor, with my recipient, B, and his girlfriend (a donor as well) on the unit at the same time.

One day, when walking the halls, B mentioned that he planned to propose to his girlfriend at the hospital. Diane took it upon herself to make the proposal as romantic as possible. My family and I were invited to witness the proposal, and upon entering the Family Room, we found it was decorated with the unit's Valentine's Day decorations, repurposed for this occasion. Diane provided celebratory champagne (Ginger Ale) as well. B committed to kneeling to propose, and she was there to support and help him back to his feet.

All those present were brought to tears by the proposal, which was made special by a genuine, generous, and amazing Diane!
