Khun Sarunya's dedication, compassion, and knowledge make her stand out.
A few days ago, I got in a motorbike accident. Exhausted and frustrated, I called my girlfriend, and luckily, she had the phone number of Khun Sarunya, who is working in Mai Khao Clinic, and my GF knows her for years.
Khun Sarunya was there for us to clearly and concisely explain what exactly we should do, what documents to bring, and who to approach.
It’s crucial that she was able to dedicate herself 100% to work despite any personal problems.
By the time we arrived, everything was already waiting for us due to Khun Sarunya already registering us.
The medical service at the hospital was top-notch, but without people like Khun Sarunya, the world would not exist. She is a Professional with a capital P.

I have been a long-time returning patient of Bangkok Hospital Phuket. After a short holiday in Indonesia, I arrived in Phuket with severely infected wounds that had to be changed and dressed daily. As I decided to spend my vacation in the northern part of the Island, I decided to visit the outreach (satellite) clinic that Bangkok Phuket Hospital opened in Mai Khao.
This was a blessing. The staff that worked there were fantastic, and I was treated extremely well.
This is why I would like to nominate Miss Sarunya Thambumrung.
Every single day I arrived there, I felt that she was expecting me. She greeted me with a wonderful smile and made me feel so welcome. She treated me with so much respect and dignity. She offered me advice and empathy for my pain. She is soft-spoken, respectful, and kind. Miss Sarunya is a true professional and an asset to have at Bangkok Hospital Phuket.
Her knowledge of nursing, and her knowledge of medicine in general, is very impressive. She knows how to explain to a patient what the doctor has said or diagnosed and explains it to a foreign patient clearly and meticulously.
She is also exceptionally fluent in English. Foreign patients feel calm and rest assured by her presence.
Miss Sarunya's kindness and caring are noticed by everyone who is a regular visitor to the island and the hospital. We love her and appreciate her so much! Miss Sarunya is most definitely a true ambassador for Bangkok Hospital Phuket and for the medical profession in general.
