I would like to take the time to recognize one amazing Nurse that went above and beyond! I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart! You truly are deserving of this award! In June, my grandson entered this world. My daughter is 16 a very young mom of course scared as to how she was going to do this. When we got onto the FCU floor Julia made my daughter feel comfortable not like another statistic of being a teen mom. Julia cared for her and the baby with no judgement to how young she was. My daughter began to get frustrated and doubtful of the choice she had made to breastfeed the baby. Julia stepped in right away and with no questions or hesitations, began to help her with the baby and helping her with his feedings. Those few moments and time spent with Julia made the biggest difference for my daughter that day. To this day, my daughter talks about how Julia made her feel comfortable and helped get her through that hard moment of becoming a young mom trying to breastfeed. Julia gave her the words of encouragement she needed. Being the mom, I feared for my daughter of the judgement of what others would think. Julia, thank you! Thank you for making my daughter feel comforted, loved, and strong! Your words and compassion have forever left a mark on our hearts! I pray you never lose that spark, and I want you to know those moments have never gone unnoticed!! I can’t help but cry while typing out this nomination for you! This holds such a special place in my heart. Seeing my daughter become an amazing mother and one amazing Nurse making a difference in her life!
