Maria went above and beyond her position. She is always punctual with my medications. She showed she cared and was always helpful. She helped relay any messages or concerns I had to my doctors. She was always respectful and kind. On several occasions, she helped with my physical therapy. She always asked if I needed anything, even when she wasn’t my nurse.

I came to pick up my father once he was discharged, and his nurse was busy with another patient. Maria went out of her way to help me with my father. Once we entered my father’s room and he saw Maria, his face lit up. He told me that she was his nurse earlier in the day and she took exceptional care of him, and it warmed my heart that although he was in the hospital, he was in good hands. I am truly appreciative of the great care my father has received at this hospital.

I have worked with Maria since August 2022 and am happy to say that Maria is a kind, hardworking, enthusiastic, compassionate, and caring nurse. She goes out of her way to help her co-workers and her patients alike. Patients and their families often talk to me about her with kind and loving words. They see her as a daughter who is taking care of them or their family members. Maria has often come to management as soon as she doesn't have something the patient needs or wants in an effort to provide good customer service. When medications are not delivered, and pharmacy doesn't bring the medication within 15-30 minutes she notifies her management to ensure her patients get their medications. Patients and family feel very comfortable and trust her.  Maria is a great patient advocate and dedicated nurse.
