Allison Frank has made a great impact on all of us. We love having her here and hopefully, we will have her here for many years to come. Allison is always here to help, at any time, on any day, in any way she can. She creates an environment where attributes of trust, compassion, mutual respect, continued professional development, and ethical behavior are modeled and supported. She helps the team collaborate with other members of the team to provide safe, high-quality patient care. She collaborates and promotes inter-professional cross-cultural communication between all members of our team, which improves patient/family-centered care.

Allison demonstrates contributions and a commitment to excellence in everything she does. She is a role model of extraordinary behavior; behavior that is consistent with NYPW strategic priorities: high reliability, quality, and patient safety, and with operational excellence. On a bad day at work, her team spirit helps in bringing unity and engagement to our unit. She motivates the staff with a shared vision and enthusiasm, a vision that promotes our magnet journey. Her compassion, her relationship with everyone she encounters, her commitment to excellence, and her accountability as a Nurse Leader, demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the hospital's mission and values. I feel safe when she is at work because I know she has our back.

When L&D gets busy she is ready to grab scrubs and help. She makes sure each nurse has a "Buddy" to support her, so everyone feels safe working there. When we are busy in Pediatrics, she works hard to support us and help us in any way she can. Allison is an excellent Leader with great qualities like empathy, integrity, honesty, great communication skills, and above all respect. She listens to us. We can count on her, she is dependable. We can trust her, she is reliable! John Maxwell said, "A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way." That is Allison. She shows the way by going the way. Allison Frank is a nurse leader who promotes and enhances the image of nursing within our organization, the community, and the profession.
