My mother had an appointment at an Older Persons clinic. It was one of the most positive experiences she (we) had had of the health system. From the minute she arrived, she was treated with respect and kindness.

I want to particularly call out Nurse Practitioner Elaine Dunne. Elaine listened and took the time to understand my mother's needs. Rather than attributing everything to age and previous medical history, she discussed options and worked with my mother to agree on a care plan and provide solutions.

Her focus was on enabling my mother to live her life fully. My mother (and I) left the appointment with a new level of confidence and self-belief in her ability. I really want to compliment and thank Elaine (and the wider staff in the unit) for their care, friendliness, and support. Well done.
