Amanda Emmons is the perfect nurse. An angel in my book. Thoroughly professional and compassionate.
We had a swing bed patient who was on the unit for a couple of weeks. Amanda noticed that the patient’s hair wasn’t responding well to our shampoo and conditioner combo. After her shift, Amanda went to the store and purchased the patient a nice set of shampoo and conditioner with her own money. It was reassuring to see someone so new at nursing go that far above and beyond for her patient without ever being asked. Amanda is going to make a wonderful Med Surg nurse. She has already shown that much!

I told Amanda that my son bought his first truck today and that I was sad to not be able to see it and be part of his first big purchase. Amanda got a wheelchair and brought me outside to see the truck. It made my day to still be a part of my son's big day. She has amazing compassion and concern for her patients.

I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Amanda. She is such a sweet soul. She is very dedicated to her nursing. She is very knowledgeable and has been very helpful in answering questions I’ve had regarding why I’m here, about meds, labs, and tests. And all the things big and small in between. Her ability to draw blood has been one of the best experiences I’ve had. I can’t thank her enough for her wonderful care. I feel she needs to be recognized for her dedication and care. Thankful for nurses like Amanda.

Amanda Emmons is the perfect nurse. An angel in my book. Thoroughly professional and compassionate. I consider the doctor who ordered an x-ray of my lungs in the emergency room as having saved my life. I want to give thanks for that from myself and my family too. I was attended by Amanda Emmons and I want to say she is the most professional, compassionate nurse I have ever met. She took the time to discuss my medications thoroughly and educated me on my after-hospitalization medicine and living health.

Plus she made sure I got home with the medicine I needed. I feel she went above and beyond to get me started on my journey to recovery. I wish all nurses were that compassionate and professional. Healthcare could use more nurses like her. I am sixty-nine years old and this is the first time I have met a nurse who is this skilled.
