Robin is being nominated for her dedication, passion, and expertise in patient care and staff. Robin has been with the team for two years now. Through those years she has held a variety of positions as they relate to the team. This is because when the team is in need, she is always willing to step up to the plate and do what needs to be done to ensure patient care is at its best. She is currently our DON and oversees our high-risk team as well as Team 1. As you can imagine this is no small task.

Despite her busy schedule, she can often be heard on the phone reassuring a patient, or staff, or listening as a patient tells of their life stories (Cleary in need of a friendly ear). Robin often stays late as a result to ensure that tasks are completed, patient care needs are met and the staff have what they need. Robin will respond to a patient's home without notice if a nurse needs assistance with the patient or even just a second pair of hands. Robin will drop off supplies when needed so patients have what they need, and the nurses can continue uninterrupted with their day. Robin goes above and beyond to make sure her team as well as the NPR team is well supported. Robin often works extra weekends to support her fellow coworkers and is well-respected by all, always promoting Baycare values.  

One example of Robin's dedication to patient safety that will always stand out in my head is the day we learned that one of our patients was hospitalized. We knew that our patient was the primary caregiver for his wife, and she couldn't manage on her own. After numerous phone calls to try and ensure her safety, Robin went to the home without hesitation to make sure she was in a safe situation until additional help arrived. The administrator received numerous calls following Robin's visit praising her actions. It is dedication such as this that sets Baycare apart and speaks to the leader Robin is. We are very fortunate to have you as a dedicated member of our team.
