I am an ADN student at COA currently doing clinicals for my med-surg class on this floor. I have worked with many of the RNs on this unit, but last Thursday was my first day with Hannah. She was the only RN all semester to go out of her way to make sure I knew the entire report of my patient and truly included me in the patient’s care. I usually have to awkwardly ask to give meds or help the nurse. Hannah on the other hand, went out of her way to make sure I was present whenever she was in the room performing care. She also let me do all the nursing skills I am allowed to do. She also explained everything to me in detail even though it slowed her down. I am so appreciative of how comfortable and included she made me feel! She made me actually consider being an RN here!
