I would like to acknowledge the wonderful care that Nathan (Nate) provided to my Mother in the ER last night. My Mom was brought in by ambulance with a variety of medical conditions. She was not the most cooperative of patients, and Nate provided her excellent care. He treated her with dignity, respect, and was very kind to her and me.

When she tested positive for Covid, he was quick to get me a mask and make sure that I was doing okay. He was extremely attentive and just represented the best kind of nurse and caregiver that a person needs in a time of illness. He had not been a nurse for that long, but he showed extreme patience, and expertise with all the things he had to do for her, including inserting a catheter and starting an IV. He kept bringing her warm blankets and kept us updated on how the lab results were going and when she was admitted to the hospital, he kept us updated on how soon transit was coming to take her to a room. I was very impressed with his actions. He is a gem to have on staff at Advocate Lutheran General and I hope he has a long career with the hospital.
