Kevin has been an amazing RN who has gone above and beyond his work duty. He is now Chief of Sterile Processing and has been pivotal in his efforts and knowledge base and teaching of all staff in the process of ensuring appropriate equipment maintenance, sterilization and infection control processes to be in compliance with all regulations. His involvement with all departments especially dental, optometry, podiatry, radiology, laboratory, dialysis, pharmacy has been pivotal in the assurance that all reusable medical equipment is maintained from sterilization standpoint and can be utilized on veterans safely.

Kevin is involved with environmental and engineering to also ensure that air quality systems and temperature controls are maintained to ensure that equipment which take care of medications as well as minor procedure tools are available, maintained, monitored, and in compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and VACO regulations. He has been humble about his knowledge base and patient with his time efforts and compassion of contribution to VAPIHCS and the community of Hawaii.
