I was admitted to the hospital for an abscess on my foot that needed to be drained. I am a diabetic and was so terrified of losing my foot. Nicole was so comforting and reassured me that I was in good hands. I spent 5 days in the hospital and another 30 days of outpatient antibiotic therapy. My foot was almost healed when it reopened. I needed to be readmitted back into the hospital.
I was so fortunate that Nicole was my nurse. She not only greeted me upon admission but remembered me and my situation. She went above and beyond daily to not only take care of my health but to talk to me and make sure I was in good spirits. She treated me like family, not "just a patient". Any patient should feel honored to have her as their nurse. Nicole is excellent at her job, but it takes someone special to show compassion in the manner that she did.
Nicole, you really helped me more than you will ever know. Thank you again for making me the most comfortable you could, during my most painful stay. I wish I could tell the rest of the world how great you are.
