When Tricia arrived she was friendly and professional. We had needed a service of care that she hadn't been given an order for. She hadn't worked with the type of drain my mom had, so she called the hospital that performed the procedure for guidance and also contacted appropriate OSF Supervisors. Since she hadn't received the order previously, she didn't have the exact supplies she needed. So she "MacGyvered" it and found something that worked. She stepped outside when talking to needed staff. Many nurses would have said, "I don't have any orders, not my problem," but she was determined to help my mom. She ordered needed supplies for Mom for her next visit. She also advised at the next appointment to get clarification from the doctor of who was going to take responsibility for the care of her drain. Since my mom has had two major illnesses this year, we have encountered many nurses. We feel Tricia’s passion for her work and dedication to her patient's care is above and beyond.
