Manny is a great team player. He always offers help and assistance and never complains about changes in the patient load and assignments. One day, his patient was a victim of gun violence and had a poor prognosis. The family was very appreciative of the care that Manny gave. The patient's mom described him as "empathetic”, and the family appreciated how much time he took to explain every detail of the patient’s care and made sure the family understood everything including the investigative procedures. He kept calm despite being asked for multiple tasks by providers, police, the charge nurse, and donor personnel. He followed protocol and made sure he did his best to stabilize the patient. His care and efforts allowed the family to grieve on their own time and made sure that all the patient’s and family's spiritual needs were met.

Manny always has a positive attitude which makes him such a great example among his teammates. He strives to make sure all the work that needs to be done before the shift is over, is completed. Manny is constantly asking his fellow nurses if they need assistance despite sometimes being busy himself. He is always kind and polite and we believe is a perfect example of a team player.
