Our family is from the northwest coast and having the support of Ally has made a huge difference in Mum's recovery, as we cannot be there every day.
It brightens mum's days when Ally is looking after her and Ally has, also in her caring way, involved my father in mum’s care. She recognizes the bond mum and dad have and has been able to involve dad which has also reassured him as he was mum's primary Carer before her admission. Mum had been struggling to recover prior to her transfer to Hobart but since arriving has come along in heaps and bounds - we all appreciate Ally’s caring nature and the thoughtfulness she gives her patients. Dad calls us (his daughters) every day to give a “progress” report on mum and we can tell the days she has had Ally from the way he speaks about her day. We will be forever grateful for the care she has received - we didn’t think we would still have her with us.
