Josh was here at 7 am to shave and brush his hair, straighten his pillows, rub lotion on him, and laugh with him and never was bothered.
My dad went in for his LVAD surgery, and things took a quick turn. His kidney failed, his blood sugar was high, and he also suffered severe Dementia. He also had to be reintubated. At this point, we were prepared to lose him.

Throughout all the hard times we experienced, this one nurse really stood out above them all, Josh. It still makes me smile remembering Josh saying, “What’s up, Buddy or What’s up, partner?” With my dad's Dementia, he would yell things at times, and Josh would try everything possible until he finally got him settled again.

Josh was here at 7 am to shave and brush his hair, straighten his pillows, rub lotion on him, and laugh with him and never was bothered. Josh also checked on my mom to make sure she wasn’t cold.

Josh made so much of an impact on my dad, when he was transferred to the 5th floor, he says he remembers him. The shaves, and he was his favorite pal! Josh always went the extra mile!!
