I have been getting treatments for almost 4 years. Ever since the beginning, Kim has been special.  She is genuine.  I have watched her interact with other patients that are not assigned to her personally and even make a point to greet and make them feel cared for. Through all my ups and downs, I know that I matter to her.  I have never known a nurse to be so personable and makes me feel that I have a friend there.

I’ve been going to the Koontz Center at Saint Luke’s since January 2019.  Kim has always been so welcoming not only to me but to every patient.  She has a wonderful way of making everyone feel better not only physically but mentally, which is important for cancer patients. Even when she is not taking care of me, I can hear her talking to others and making them laugh.

Kim always takes time to get to know her patients.  At times, I don’t always have my appointments with her, but she always says, “Hi Karen” and asks how I’m doing.  She has so many patients and remembers everyone and makes them feel special.  She has stayed late, waiting for my treatment to finish.  I appreciate her knowledge and compassion.
