Emily has shown patience and compassion to my grandmother during her hospital stay. Emily is observant and kind and is there when my grandmother has needed her. I feel like she has treated my grandmother like she would treat her own. Emily is an outstanding nurse and she deserves this award!

My grandmother was in DMH from November 6th to November 28th. During her time there, one nurse in particular went above and beyond to make my grandmother's stay as comfortable as possible. Her name was Emily Wilk. Emily bathed her and washed her hair each day she was on shift. My grandmother's hair had become matted from being bedridden and Emily carefully detangled her hair over the course of a couple of days. Emily was very patient with my grandmother and with our family. She answered all of our questions and showed genuine concern for my grandmother's condition.
