I was blessed enough to have Tasheka care for me while having pneumonia and a PE in the other lung. From the start of her first shift with me, she was an amazing nurse. She showed understanding and compassion. She said no jobs are off limits. She understood and showed the compassion needed in nursing, saying patients are not problems and that nurses should be in this vocation to help, care, and serve. She always had a joyful attitude and smile on her face! My family and I had an incident with another nurse who had nothing to do with me or my care. I got very upset, and she took our side with the director of the floor and apologized even though she had nothing to do with it. She epitomizes the spirit of nursing. She was the kind of nurse you would want as a patient.
