Alexis is a perfect example of a phenomenal nurse. My pregnancy ended with an induction that ended up lasting days longer than I believe anyone anticipated. Alexis took care of me for several shifts. She was always super prompt and never complained or even remotely seemed bothered to come into my room (which was often because of those darn monitors). She was personable and truly seemed to care.

What amazed me was to see how she advocated for me. My epidural failed both prior to pushing and again after pushing for close to an hour. Alexis took matters into her own hands and reached out to the anesthesiologist immediately to try to get me some relief...several times. She was such a coach in trying to get me to progress and I do not think I would have been able to hold it out as long as I did without her! I ended up needing a cesarian and Alexis was so prompt in moving right along to make sure my baby was okay.

I am still amazed at how hard she works and even when the task gets tough, she remains so incredibly kind. She even managed to come to check in on us after I was moved to mother/baby. I also wanted to note that when I was walking post-partum, she was still running all around and staying busy, taking care of her patients. Beebe is lucky to have such a dedicated nurse on their team.
