Batool was my wife’s nurse on Saturday and then her delivery nurse on Sunday. My wife is a very anxious person and was worried about everything that could go wrong, but my wife and I loved how Batool went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and understood everything going on. She was a necessary bridge that closed the gap between us as the patient and her family and the medical team. She made sure we were on the same page and took the time to explain everything going on and answered all of our questions. And it’s a huge help that she speaks Arabic, because my wife isn’t that strong in English and she would go over everything in both Arabic and English to make sure we both understood. It seemed like the unit was very busy, but Batool was there every time we wanted something. She came in with a take charge attitude and she will forever be a part of our favorite memory and we are so grateful for her. This will be a story to tell our baby boy, who Batool helped birth, as well as all of our grandchildren.
