Brandi provided EOL (end-of-life) comfort care for the newborn infant of one of our peers. She demonstrated the most genuine utmost compassion for this precious infant and parents up to the time of demise and for the parents for the remainder of the day. Brandi sat with Mom and Dad and just listened – not only as a nurse but as a friend. She demonstrated support and respect for the parents as well as a “shoulder to cry on” on their worst day. She provided wonderful care for this sweet baby as well as the preparation of the Keepsake Box for the parents and she went above and beyond to support and encourage these parents. She is an excellent NICU nurse and truly compassionate in her job and as a person.
