Even though I was a patient of Naomi's for a short time I could tell that she genuinely enjoys her job and the people that she takes care of. From the moment that she called my name to the time that they wheeled me into the operating room, she had a constant smile on her face and cheer in her voice - both helped to ease any anxiety one might be having. At one point in my prep she discovered that the procedure that I was having done and the chart did not match up. She noted this in my chart for the doctor so that it could be updated and not only my carpel tunnel surgery taken care of in my left hand, but the correct injections be done in my right hand as well. So often, I see people just going through the motions of the job that they perform just to check off the boxes. Not the case with Naomi. Naomi truly cares about her patients, their comfort, and their ease of mind, and she provides them with a high standard of professional care. She is a true example to others of a DAISY Award recipient.
