I am always sure to mention how great my nurse was, and if it hadn’t been for her, I believe it could have been a completely different experience and story to tell.
In 2020, right before COVID-19 hit, I delivered my first son early due to pre-eclampsia. Courtney Moore was assigned to be my nurse. I was a new mom, scared to death. Being a new mom, pre-eclamptic & having to deliver early, who wouldn’t be scared? Courtney went above and beyond during my whole labor & delivery process, answering the most outrageous questions I had, all around trying to keep me comfortable due to my blood pressure and mindset! When I tell everyone about my labor & delivery story, they are always so shocked to hear how fast and easy it was! I am always sure to mention how great my nurse was, and if it hadn’t been for her, I believe it could have been a completely different experience and story to tell. My son and I ended up staying in the hospital for 7 days after due to him having to have extra oxygen. Courtney made sure to check on us every single day, whether she was working or not. Throughout the extended hospital stay, my son had to stay in the nursery. Courtney went above and beyond for my son and I all seven days! Even afterward, we connected through social media, and she has watched my son grow into the healthy, amazing 3-year-old he is today.

Now, October 2023, my second baby boy made his entrance into the world. No pregnancy complications with this one, but still so scared. I go in at 39 weeks for an elective induction, my once nighttime nurse in 2020, is now my daytime nurse in 2023, Courtney Moore. I was automatically relieved when I saw her. As it took longer to progress during this labor, she was there every step. I always said I would be scared to go through labor and delivery again just because of how easy my first time was; I knew my second would never go that way. Although there were slight differences, once it came time to deliver, I was once again so comfortable and at ease due to the suggestions and advice from my nurse, Courtney, I even tried to go to sleep during delivery! Another successful labor & delivery, 3 years apart, with the same amazing nurse.
