Maria has been extremely helpful to me and my coworkers. She verifies correct spellings of names, date of birth, and gender. Often patients are booked for surgery with one name and the history and physical may have another or additional name and then labwork may be presented with yet another name. Maria provides another layer of safety and quality like no other; she checks and double checks and confirms with the patient the actual legal name. This makes our process smoother and safer for the patients as we have all ensured and confirmed the correct information.

Maria has improved the process, saving us time and money and most importantly improving safety and quality of care and averting a potential error. Her role in the ambulatory setting has been invaluable and our staff all really appreciate the value she brings to our team.
