Trudy is a wonderful resource to all the floors. She not only provides compassionate care to patients but provides that same compassion to all the nurses that care for our patients. It would be impossible to provide the number of times I or one of my colleagues have paged Trudy regarding a patient that we felt was becoming medically unstable. She always provides help when needed, even for something as simple as inserting an IV in a patient, which has proven to be a difficult stick.

In addition, Trudy shows compassion and respect to all the colleagues she works with. She is quick to lend a hand and a kind word of encouragement when things seem overwhelming. The COVID surge has made many of us feel "burned out" and less than qualified to handle patients who are out of our "wheelhouse" or area of expertise. Trudy not only provides her knowledge and skills but leaves you feeling valued regardless of the situation that prompted you to call her for help.
