She is a leader role model to her team and peers, our core values are seamlessly woven into the fabric of her day and that is how she lives the CHRISTUS difference.  I can tell she feels moved to help alleviate someone else's stressors or pain just by listening or offering words of wisdom. This is compassion. Her leadership and the culture she has created in that unit truly shine in the most difficult moments.
I admire her leadership and resilience and how she has worked toward excellence for our patients and families, as well as staff. She has been a leader with GRACE over the past year! She was committed to demonstrating the amazing strong dedication her team has to provide the very best care in Shreveport to our new families. She had to navigate a new process for the Louisiana Perinatal Quality Committee this year. Commitment to excellence and resilience in everything she does for her team. Excellence is the only word for her drive. She and the team will not settle for average.

There are so many things that I want to say. There are so many ways to describe this wonderful leader. She is a ROCK. She is consistent in everything she does. She is Honest – Integrity is who she is and how she handles every relationship and her team – from OBs to staff. She manages these relationships well. She also seeks to do what is right, fair, and just. She advocates for what is right, especially when it comes to her patients and associates. Did I mention she is a ROCK. She is someone who can always be counted on. Remember the snow storm – she was picking up people, taking them home in her jeep, whatever needed to be done to ensure that our patients were taken care of. What about the times her team is short – yep those times too! Whether it is 2pm or 2am, you can find her on the unit passing a med and getting a patient up. She can take twice the load and run circles around her team. She GETS IT DONE. Steadfast is another word that comes to mind. You do not have to guess with her. She remains steadfast in her leadership and care of those around you. You want a leader and friend like her because her love is fierce. She laughs with you, cries with you, and supports you in and through any situation and circumstance. Her clinical experience, knowledge and wisdom are things we can all learn from. She has faithfully served CHRISTUS since 1991. – 31 YEARS. The accomplishments that she and her team have achieved are to be commended and celebrated. Thank you for your continued work with LAPQC, which brought us to be recognized as a Birth Ready facility. I know that you and the team will continue to excel in providing outstanding care! We all want to be recognized as having the qualities that she demonstrates day in and day out.

I'm just always so in awe of her dedication to our unit & how she goes above & beyond for patient care! No matter the weather or personal circumstances, she is always here giving her absolute ALL & it shows! We are so incredibly lucky to have her as our unit leader!! She is always helping us better ourselves, which in turn, teaches us ways to better care for our patients. With safe practices & an always supportive ear, she is always listening to ways she can help. There are truly not enough words to describe how grateful we are to have her. She maintains her positive outlook through her love for Jesus Christ. She unapologetically loves the Lord & I believe that makes such an incredible difference in not only a leadership role, but as a human being. That in itself is such an admirable & inspirational character trait!

As a manager, she is always willing to listen to suggestions from nurses and other patient care advocates to best improve our patient outcomes. She is always on top of the latest new practice standards and medical equipment to achieve better patient outcomes. She always remains positive in the face of any challenge. Keeping her outlook always on God and his healing ministry, she always keeps the labor unit nurses uplifted and positive.

She will always do what is right for her patients and staff. I witnessed this myself as a patient on her unit. She was short-staffed and so she took a patient load. I was lucky to be one of those patients. I could have cried seeing her walk into that room. I needed her in that moment more than she could have ever imagined. She is always willing to step up for the betterment of everyone she knows. She is every bit of the leader I hope to be one day. Sometimes when I feel lost and don't know what to do I can always call her. She never rushes me, and always allows me to pour my heart out to her. I am so grateful for her. She is one tough cookie, and you will always hear her acknowledge when things are tough, but she moves on to conquer whatever is challenging her at the time.

She is the rock that grounds everyone in the birthplace, when you say her name integrity is the first core value that I think of… She consistently does what she says she is going to do.  She is honest to a fault, she ensures everyone on her team has a voice and feels supported to share it. When conflict occurs with her team she gathers them “to just talk it out” ensuring everyone is heard and treated fairly. Compassion is another core value that she frequently shows her team and peers. She has an associate that recently had a devastating diagnosis, she has gone over and above to support and educate this person. Many days I have walked by her office and she was offering comfort through fear and tears to this associate. She has provided colostomy support by answering questions or helping her find ostomy resources. She is a mentor to younger managers to help decrease anxiety and help them with ideas for work-life balance and triaging tasks and deadlines. She is a leader role model to her team and peers, our core values are seamlessly woven into the fabric of her day and that is how she lives the CHRISTUS difference.

I wanted to share that she has always shown me compassion and support when I needed it the most. She makes me feel heard and important. She cares a lot about her team, her patients, and her coworkers. She is compassionate in the way she talks and in the way she addresses concerns. I can tell she feels moved to help alleviate someone else's stressors or pain just by listening or offering words of wisdom. This is compassion. She is a great support system, and I'm glad to be surrounded by her presence on a daily basis. The Birthplace is not always a happy place. Her leadership and the culture she has created in that unit truly shine in the most difficult moments. Most often, patients pick their doctor first, then wherever the doctor wants them to receive care, that is where you go. The Birthplace is different! Consumers pick the hospital (Highland) and then the provider to care for them at our facility. HIGHLAND is the place to be. This is because of the nurses! It is because of her and her leadership.
