I am a 45-year-old who came in for a living donor nephrectomy. There was some unexpected bleeding from my spleen during the surgery. After being transferred to the floor post-op, my hemoglobin was retested and had a significant drop.

Precious wanted a recheck for accuracy, and it dropped even more. I then needed to be transfused. This was all happening overnight. I then developed severe pain that left me crying. Precious spent the entire night with me. He attended to all my needs, which is to be expected. However, he went above and beyond. He held my hand and rubbed my shoulders and was soooo compassionate. He was never in a rush and reassured me everything was OK.

His compassion will never be forgotten. He was simply the best nurse I have ever seen, and I am a nurse in a different hospital.
