Where do I start? I was a patient after having a surgical procedure. The nursing care I received was “over the top” excellent. I had so many wonderful, caring nurses who need to be mentioned for the amazing care they provided me, but first, there was one who stood out above the rest. She is a new RN, an upcoming rising star in nursing… A Gem – She goes the extra mile to make you comfortable. I knew she was busy, but she never made me feel like she was rushed to get done with me and leave. She provided excellent care. Nothing was ever too much to ask for. She knew I had a queasy stomach and stopped to make me some warm ginger tea!! Ask her how she made it; it was yummy. She has all the qualities one looks for in a nurse. She is fresh out of school with her BSN and her eyes and heart wide open to help her patients. I feel the DAISY Award should be hers. What a way to start your career. The DAISY Award will be her foundation on which to build. Can you only imagine? She can only move up with her career. I would have loved to work beside her and nurture her in this field. (I am recently retired). My care was a 5-star, hands down!!! Thank you all for everything you have done.
