Kim was our mother's night nurse in the ICU at the Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee. She provided outstanding care. My mom was in tremendous pain and Kim was so compassionate. My mom had called us and when Kim came in the room, she must have laid the phone down and didn't realize it was still on. My dad and I continued to try to talk with her, but all we could hear was my mom groaning with pain and Kim caring for her. Kim, though she had no idea we were listening to her care of my mom for over 30 minutes, everything she said and how she said it was deeply respectful and professional. There was no irritation in her voice. She assisted my mom and spoke with her as if she were a family member. My dad and I were overwhelmed and almost crying as we heard Kim patiently give her medication for pain, continually and patiently asking her if she was feeling any better. She stayed with my mom and cared for her as if she was an angel. My dad and I couldn't be more grateful for Kim's care and the manner in which she provided it, all the while not knowing that she was being heard for over 30 minutes. Kim is a true DAISY Nurse.
