Maddie gave me physical and emotional support and went out of her way to make me feel more comfortable and more than just another patient in a hospital bed.
I would like to start by saying that sometimes the smallest gestures have the biggest impact, like being HEARD.
Maddie listened to me and understood me when I felt like no one else did. She did everything to the best of her ability to give me a voice as much as she could, and that was more than a small gesture – it had a huge impact on my stay at the hospital.
She gave me physical and emotional support and went out of her way to make me feel more comfortable and more than just another patient in a hospital bed. Even with all of the other patients she has to take care of, Maddie has a way of making you feel like you’re the only one she has.
She is kind and warm, and the best nurse that I’ve had in a very long time. I’ve had plenty of hospital stays in many different hospitals, including this one, but I’ve never had a better nurse.
I just wanted a way to repay Maddie and show my appreciation and gratitude. Johns Hopkins is lucky to have her and I’m lucky to have had her be my nurse. Thanks, Maddie!
