My mom was admitted to Riverview Medical Center with Covid. During her hospital stay, we had the pleasure of meeting Lee. I could tell immediately that Lee was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about being a Nurse. He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it. Whenever we had a question, he was both pleasant and patient in his answer. Towards the end of my mom’s stay, she experienced a delay in obtaining cardiology clearance, which was the one thing preventing discharge. Lee made multiple phone calls to the cardiology team in an attempt to move things along, as he knew my mom was looking forward to going home. Lee even stayed after his shift ended to discharge my mom. We appreciate Lee for making my mom’s stay more comfortable with friendly conversation and, most importantly, for advocating for his patient. A million thanks to Lee!

I was admitted to the hospital for 2 days for Crohn's flare-up with stomach pain. I had been to a different hospital multiple times before this one and was agitated as I wasn't getting the care and help I needed. On the first morning I was admitted to my room, I met my nurse, Lee. Lee was kind and understanding and empathetic every step of the way. He went above and beyond to make sure that my needs were met and that my care was a priority in the highest manner. I never had any complaints or issues while he was taking care of me. I appreciate all the work that nurses and doctors do, but Lee was by far exceptional in his care and service and deserves all the recognition that comes his way. He always checked on me while I was here, he spoke to the doctors on my behalf. He took the time to explain medications to me as best as he could and gave me great advice during my stay. Well-deserved recognition to Lee of 3 South at Riverview Medical Center. By far, he is one of the best, if not the best, nurse I've ever had.
