Amy notices any and all little things, not for one person but all the patients she is attending.
Nurse Amy Daniels was my chemo infusion nurse during MOST of my chemo treatment. All of the infusion nurses are very thorough, responsible and most of all very busy handling 4+ patients at a time. This is where Amy was different. She not only handles 4-6 patients at a time, but I counted as many as 10 on one day. She had everyone covered but still made you feel that you were her only one she was treating. With her personality, she stands alone by providing pillow, warm blankets, and even something to snack on. How are you feeling today? Can I set up your TV for you or raise your feet and let's get that table pulled up so you can use it. Amy notices any and all little things, not for one person but all the patients she is attending. "Now don't forget to let me know if you need anything and I will be right back" as she goes to attend someone else. Yes, she does come back to check on all of her patients.

She has helped me through my chemo journey and guided and talked to me about managing side effects. One of my side effects was diarrhea and she helped me gain control of all side effects. She is one of a kind and definitely cares about all the patients and once you experience her care, kindness and wonderful personality, while still maintaining her professionalism, calming mannerisms and good wit, you truly have met a special person.

I made it through 8 chemo treatments every other week, looking forward to having time to renew and refresh and enjoy seeing and interacting with Nurse Amy. She was pleasantly awaiting me and how and what problems she could help me with that week. She became a good friend.

Clearly, I could remember my first week of being so confused that I was still trying to figure out how I ever got cancer. On the second visit was the first time that Amy was my nurse. She asked me how I felt and what questions I may have. I told her that I was so confused and didn't know where to begin. As she was attending to me and asking questions, she asked if she could have the dietician help me with foods. She set the appointment up and each  time I was so happy and relieved that she was working with me. Her compassion with each person she works with, she touches than as an angel would. I will miss her but I am so happy she touched my life. God has truly blessed my sons and me to know such a caring and loving person.
