It started making perfect sense to me why her genuine kindness, credibility, approachability, and humble personality, which she’s always had since I remembered her as a teenager, eventually led her to become the outstanding nurse she is today.
Tiffany cared for my beloved 80-year-old father, who was in the Intensive Care Unit for quite some time for pneumonia, kidney failure, and other critical health factors that he’s still currently battling. Coming from a very close-knit family, my father had many visitors during his stay at the hospital, ranging from his nephews, nieces, brothers, sisters, and immediate family. Tiffany recognized this and realized how important family is for my father, simply through his expressions, even when he was unable to communicate through words due to being on a BIPAP, and eventually a ventilator. After a few days of providing myself and my family with constant, informative updates on his condition, I could not help but recognize her genuine personality and her kindness. It was then that I realized that we had gone through middle school and even graduated high school together in 2009! Unfortunately, our busy lives resulted in us not seeing nor keeping in touch with each other since then. After catching up with the 14 years that had passed, it started making perfect sense to me why her genuine kindness, credibility, approachability, and humble personality, which she’s always had since I remembered her as a teenager, eventually led her to become the outstanding nurse she is today. Nursing is a perfect fit for her, and I have no doubt she will continue to be an amazing asset to the medical field and to Kaiser Permanente. Regardless of the outcome of my father, I know he received excellent care because Tiffany was one of his nurses.
