I recently was admitted to the CVAR unit at Tacoma General. Upon arrival, I told the staff there that when I come out of anesthesia, I am known to get very nauseous and also antsy. Even though I don't remember everything that was done post-surgery, my family kept me up to date. Todd took great care of me, he showed compassion when I was having trouble being very nauseated. After I was released from Todd's care, I was taken to a different room, where I started having more trouble with my breathing and being nauseated. Todd could come over and help the other nurses with what treatments were working for me, guide them, and help them treat me. Not only did Todd help me, but just having him in the room talking to my wife and mom put them at ease. At one point, my breathing had gotten a lot worse, so my mom actually sought Todd out, and Todd came right into the room and put myself and my family at ease. Todd, at one point, even had me laughing, which was a very tough thing to do, but he put a smile on my face. Todd showed respect towards me by actually listening to my concerns and my family's concerns. Todd had great integrity by keeping us up to date with everything that was going on with my treatment.
