Mandi is a fearless leader, a watchful protector, and has a love, and passion for Mothers and babies like no other.
As a first-time mom being admitted for suspected preeclampsia, I was terrified. I was 30 weeks pregnant, and it was at the height of COVID. Through all of it, Mandi was there working tirelessly, helping me and other moms navigate this new universe. Mandi patiently explained things to me, and whether she knew it or not, she gave me strength for what was to come.
Fast forward to here and now; I found myself expecting, and Mandi was one of the first people I told. I was half joking / half serious when I told her I wanted to ensure she was our nurse when it was time to deliver. Mandi has become like family to us. I had a pretty normal pregnancy until one day when our baby failed the NST, and my amniotic fluid dropped. When I met with the providers in L&D Triage, I asked if they were okay with me letting Mandi know and that we wanted her there if she could be. A few hours and approvals later, Mandi was there with us and was able to help deliver our precious baby girl. It truly was a joyous experience. Who can say they had Backstreet Boys As Long as You Love Me playing when their baby entered the world? Mandi is what nursing should be for everyone. Mandi is a fearless leader, a watchful protector, and has a love, and passion for Mothers and babies like no other. She stands out as a nurse who transcends the normal call of duty while delivering exceptional patient care.
