Kristi was extraordinarily kind to us and treated us as if our comfort was very important to her.
Our father was in the ICU for 20 days. While he was there, his wife was at Shelby Rehab and his daughters were living in Michigan and Canada. We came to see our dad as often as life allowed, but also had to make trips back to our homes and families. When it became apparent that our dad was losing his battle, we all flew down to be by his side. Kristi started her shift as we were making the decision to switch to comfort care. She spoke of her experiences with our dad during her previous shifts with him. She made him very comfortable in a calm, confident way. She kept us informed of how he was doing and what to expect. She was extraordinarily kind to us and treated us as if our comfort was very important to her. We had chosen to play music for our dad - old songs we enjoyed with him. Kristi shared a beautiful song and offered to play it for us. She also printed his EKG strip for us. Her personal touches and her sincere caring manner made the experience of our dad’s passing a truly beautiful night. We are eternally grateful.
