Kim has been not only a nursing manager over several units for Hardin Memorial Hospital but a support for staff both personally and professionally, as well as a friendly face representing OhioHealth in our community during events. Kim was a huge support for me when I was developing as a nurse in the ICU and growing into my current nurse administrator position. I have had many personal challenges with my son, having gone through cancer treatment, life-threatening illnesses, and the loss of my brother recently. Kim was a huge support for me by taking the time to just listen and offer comforting words, which has been a blessing for me as well as many other staff during their struggles. I recently witnessed Kim taking time to care for a sibling of a pediatric patient in the ED and offering comfort to the family during their traumatic loss. I was in awe at the extent she went to in offering support to everyone in ED that afternoon. Kim is very much the perfect example of an Extraordinary DAISY Nurse Leader.
