Unfortunately, I am a patient here at NHS A LOT due to multiple health problems that together cause me to go into diabetic ketoacidosis almost every two weeks. I seem to always get great nurses and staff once I’m admitted to ICU. As soon as I’m well enough and I get transferred to Med-Surg. Once I am down in Med-Surg I’ve gotten great care – ALWAYS. But when I have been lucky enough to get nurse Brandy my long stays are always so much better when she is my nurse. She ALWAYS goes above and beyond for not just me but all the patients who are lucky enough to have her as their nurse. She has gone whole shifts without any food or breaks. It seems that she is constantly running the whole shift. She never lets me sit in pain or let me suffer. She is definitely an asset to Northeastern Health System. She always takes very good care of not just myself but every patient she has. She always goes above and beyond for every patient that is hers. I hope she will get the recognition for the hard work and dedication that she deserves. NHS is lucky to have such great nurses like Brandy and the ICU team as well. I’ve been a patient here every month since December of 2021, so much so that almost everyone knows me on a first-name basis. That being said from the ICU Team, doctors, the techs, and even dietary staff are always so kind to me, especially Brandy. I watched her work her entire shift on Thanksgiving with no lunch/dinner break and never missed a patient’s needs!
