Kat made me feel like I was her only patient. That’s how much care she gave me.
Ms. Kat is a treasure; we know she wasn’t my husband’s personal nurse, but she was so kind and such a blessing to us both. She went far and above seeing that we had what we needed. What a blessing to know that you have staff like Kat to care for my husband and others.

There is not enough room on this nomination form for all we need to say to Ms. Kat. My father passed away this week and while I was down south, my husband had to be admitted here at NEA Baptist. Let me just say that Ms. Kat and your staff took such great care of my husband while waiting for me to be able to be with my husband. Ms. Kat and your staff did special things for me to make it easy for me to sleep and eat due to my health. You don’t know how much peace it brings me to know that at first I wasn’t able to be here with my husband, I always knew he was taken care of because your staff have always had his best interest at heart. Ms. Kat even made sure we didn’t need anything else; we love her so much!

I could not ask for a more loving, compassionate, and caring nurse for my mom. She has been through so much over the last 3 years, all starting with Covid. I lost my dad due to Covid, as he passed away while Mom was on the ventilator. It’s been a long road and every time we have had to come back to NEA Baptist, we request Kat and will continue to do so. My Mother feels like a true patient and not just a “number” because Kat goes above and beyond for her patients. I hope every patient experiences Kat’s love at some point while staying at NEA Baptist.

Throughout my week at NEA Baptist, Kat was my nurse most of the days and I am here to tell you that she always went over and beyond for me. From making sure I had my meds on time to making sure I had my shower and was well fed daily and even the smallest conversations we had. Kat made me feel like I was her only patient. That’s how much care she gave me. She gave me so much hope and great encouragement when it came to my health and pain. I’m so thankful I was blessed with such a kindhearted and patient nurse that I didn’t want to leave!

Kat has gone above and beyond for my Memaw every time she has been her nurse. We request her when we can and she never disappoints in any aspect. Her love for my Memaw shines through her smile every time she enters the room. She truly loves her patients and it shows. Her compassion for her patients is something I truly appreciate as it has made my Memaw feel so loved and truly cared about. If we ever have to return to NEA Baptist, Kat will forever be a request of ours. She is truly a gift to this hospital. Thank you, Kat!

Kat was my dad’s nurse on his first day here at NEA Baptist. He came here with GI bleeding problems. We had issues at the previous ED we were at so having her here as his nurse was a blessing. She isn’t just passionate about taking care of her patients, but she is very compassionate and caring. After his first set of tests, they did not find anything definitive and left it there. Kat said she was still concerned and called the doctor with those concerns and they agreed to do more testing. To me, she went above and beyond for her patient. I have been a long-time medic, and I appreciate seeing that type of care still here!
