My experience at South Miami Hospital has been great. However, one particular Nurse who has gone far and beyond her call of duty is Mayrelis (4T Clinical Decision/Observation Unit). From the moment Mayrelis walked into my room bright and early before 7 AM, her charisma, and love for her profession stood out. I thought to myself wow I have a good nurse. Mayrelis even took time to say such uplifting positively and gave me the assurance I would be better; she was my cheerleader on the sidelines for encouragement. Furthermore, as the day went on Mayrelis was so attentive to my care and needs that I had to nominate her for this special award. She is an exceptional nurse who deserves praise and recognition. If this world had more nurses like Mayrelis, what a wonderful world it’d be, especially at a time when patients need that extra tender loving care (TLC).
