Maddy is dedicated and shows compassion for her patients. There were many instances where Maddy made me feel safe, understood, heard, and genuinely cared for, but there were 2 things that really stuck out to me. Firstly, during the nights, between shifts, she had mentioned she had a dream about taking care of me; she was determined to relieve all of my pain; even outside of work, she said, “I just kept asking myself – what can I do to help her?”

Secondly, she mentioned that she was looking forward to a visit with friends but instead picked up a shift, so she could come in to see and care for me! She didn’t have to, but she wanted to, she rooted for me and my progress. She taught me hands-on how to do my feeds. I could thank her a million times, but it still wouldn’t feel like enough. Maddy went above and beyond every time, but these moments stuck with me. Please recognize Maddy for her hard work and genuine soul. Thank you, Maddy! I will never forget you and the way you cared for me.
