I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the cardiac team headed by Dr. Tarek El Hussein and Dr. Fahad Al Sandi, the cardiologist staff MD and 2C Nursing team, RTs and ICU team for the outstanding care of our CCU patient who was admitted just before EID with end stage Cardiomyopathy, cardiogenic Shock, intubated and on circulatory support device (IABP), 4 max inotropes, sepsis with significantly deranged liver and renal function. He was turned down by two transplant centers in Riyadh. He has a very complex stormy course but eventually slowly improved, weaned off ventilator and balloon pump, inotropes slowly weaned off, liver and kidney function near normalized and sepsis treated. He was airlifted to Riyadh KFSH for a Heart Transplant assessment.

This is an outstanding, high-caliber care in a very complicated case. I thank you all again, including the transporting team, Dr. EL Gohary, and 2C Nurse Kimalda and RT and the 2C team. This is an example of high-caliber tertiary care delivered only in a few centers in the Kingdom. We should all be proud of the team, and please keep up the good work.
