Thanks to Mary, the Professional Nurse Practice Council met its goal related to the number of policies the group reviewed.
Mary spent most of her time in the Emergency Department, where she put her heart and soul into helping her patients, as well as only wanting the best for her co-workers. She eventually moved into holistic nursing, once again helping patients and coworkers, and has been an educator for four years. Her previous work experiences and her incredible friendliness, enthusiasm, and willingness to help have nurtured others to grow as professional nurses. Thanks to Mary, the Professional Nurse Practice Council met its goal related to the number of policies the group reviewed. She has guided nurses, especially those who graduated more than several years ago, through the Johns Hopkins process to professionally revise policies. It is also worth mentioning that she is willing to help anyone with any educational question, regardless of whether the person is in the units she covers. She has a style when she is teaching a class that brings excitement and eagerness to learn, while taking additional comments openly. She has the knowledge, professionalism, friendliness and ability to guide others that make her a perfect candidate to receive the DAISY Award.
