Chayslyn is thoughtful and selfless in her actions. She is great at treating patients with respect and remembering that time in the hospital can be hard on anybody. She had a young patient who has a history of a lung transplant due to cystic fibrosis. The day the patient was in the hospital was the day of her cosmetology school graduation and party. Chayslyn heard the mom talking about how they had ordered a red velvet cake for the party and were discouraged they were not going to celebrate her accomplishment. Chayslyn took it upon herself to order a red velvet bundt cake and get a card signed by EC staff to celebrate the patient's great accomplishment. It may not have been the expected situation, but Chayslyn went above and beyond to bring light to a glum situation.
