My husband has only been to a doctor five times over the last 25 years. With such a wonderful experience that day, my husband has already told me he'll be going to the doctor on a regular basis from now on. I know this is directly due to Nurse Rhonda making him feel so comfortable and, more importantly, safe. She completely eased his fears.
My husband came to same day surgery for an arteriogram. He was very nervous because he does not go to the doctor often. Nurse Rhonda went out of her way to make him feel at ease, as she could tell he was extremely nervous. She came into the room many times, keeping us updated about where we were in the process and what the next steps were. These updates and checking in helped my husband feel much more at ease than I ever thought was possible. Please know that my husband has only been to a doctor five times over the last 25 years. With such a wonderful experience that day, my husband has already told me he'll be going to the doctor on a regular basis from now on. I know this is directly due to Nurse Rhonda making him feel so comfortable and, more importantly, safe. She completely eased his fears.
Another thing Nurse Rhonda did for us, occurred while my husband was in recovery. I had stepped out for a few minutes. While I was out, the doctor came in to discuss what he found. Rhonda took a detailed note for us of what the doctor said. She gave me the note with explanation, when I returned. We were so grateful for the notes as my husband has hearing loss and was medicated as well.
We could tell Rhonda loves being a nurse and has an incredible talent of making her patients feel at ease. The compassion and care Rhonda showed both of us was phenomenal and genuine. She is an extraordinary nurse, and it shows. A great big thank you to Nurse Rhonda.
