"Throughout the time that Rachel and others were working with the nurse, she began to grow in her confidence and improvements were seen in the care she was providing."
Throughout her tenure as an Educator, Rachel has shown a drive and a passion to bring out the best in the nurses that she works with. She is willing to go the extra mile to ensure their success.

She has been very involved and worked with multiple nurses as of late who have been identified as having a variety of issues. As an example, we recently had a nurse who was assigned to the CVICU. This nurse had some concerns present during CTP (primarily confidence and communication), but the concerns were magnified once she got out on assignment.

In addition to the known concerns, additional concerns came up about her clinical knowledge. Based on these concerns, there was significant worry that this nurse would either lose their assignment or have to be moved to a lower acuity. Rachel was asked to assist in working with the nurse remotely to help build her confidence and clinical knowledge. Rachel met with the nurse weekly for multiple virtual simulations and discussions regarding the care of patients in the CVICU. Rachel provided feedback on the nurse's performance during the simulation as well as tips and suggestions to help improve her work at the bedside.

Throughout the time that Rachel and others were working with the nurse, she began to grow in her confidence, and improvements were seen in the care she was providing. As a result of these improvements, the nurse retained their assignment and the nurse is doing well.
