This nurse shows up every day with an amazing attitude and a will to care! I have seen this showcased with patient after patient, day after day. The most recent example was in July when she was already having a busy day and one of her patients had an emergent situation. She immediately noticed something was off in his mental status and dove into why he wasn’t responding normally. She called a rapid response to stay on top of the situation before anything got worse. All the while, she had a preceptee whom she was coaching through the whole ordeal, in addition to calming the patient’s family, answering the questions from the rapid response team, and trying to keep the patient clean from the sudden bouts of incontinence. She showed skill, professionalism, and, most of all, total compassion for the patient and their family. She is just amazing!! Thank you for all you do.
