My father was a patient in the CTICU after a major surgery. As a critical care nurse and hospital administrator, I was extremely impressed with the care my father received. This nurse was compassionate and knowledgeable during the time with my family. She continuously ensured my father was comfortable and ensured by family was well informed. I have been involved in presenting DAISY Awards to staff members and this nurse is a prime example of a DAISY Nurse. Her passion for nursing is refreshing. From playing his favorite types of music to making sure the room temperature was just right, she went above and beyond our expectations. Thank you for providing another nurse’s dad the same care you would have wanted for your family.
